The power of Lego to help understanding…

Elekta is a company close to my heart, from the early days of my career in Industrial Engineering to the collaboration in recent years with their awesome Intellimax predictive service solution. They recently posted how one of their employees and their son used the power of Lego to help understanding and potential connect with patients.

Elekta’s Customer Engagement Manager, Jennifer “Jen” Anthony, and George, her then 10-year-old son worked on together to build a linear accelerator out of Lego. The inspiring moment is this quote: “This got me thinking about what a leveler LEGO is,” says Jen. “Could a simple LEGO model help patients, children and adults alike overcome some of the barriers or fears they face, or ease discussions with family and friends during their treatment journey?”

What an awesome use of lego and one that might help patients using radiotherapy to connect and understand! Do you have a similar story around the use of Lego?
