Holiday downtime and the power of Lego

Lego and holiday downtime

Looking for a way to relax and switch off from work during the holiday downtime?

Consider revisiting a childhood hobby! For me, building Lego sets has been a great way to disconnect and focus solely on the task at hand. Not to mention, it’s a lot of fun!

What hobbies have you rediscovered during the holidays?

However, as with any hobby, there are some potential downsides to be aware of:

1. 🤯 My Engineers brain kicks in and wonders just how the LEGO Group actually design the sets? The structural design, the tolerances etc. The mind boggles and is in awe at the some time!
2. 😱 Are the brick left at the end of a bag really meant to be there… or did I miss something?
3. 😵‍💫 How exact and straight can I get the stickers on the pieces. They need to be on point as a wonky sticker can be seen from a mile off. (I’ve invested in some tweezers in my pursuit of perfection).
4. 🤔 Pre-planning on the next set and balancing the desire to build bigger and better and the annoyance level of the better half when buying it.

Overall, this year has gone well with my Lego adventures, as you can see from the picture. Now, on to the Vespa!
